From the beginning of human history, the world’s great civilizations have flourished around rivers. In 2008 the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps explores the many aspects of these waterways with its production The River. The works of Joseph Curiale, Frank Ticheli, Ferde Grofé, and Robert W. Smith provide the musical current for a watery journey that begins in mountain streams, flows down serene tributaries, and surges through turbulent rapids before converging with the sea. Prepare yourself as the Mandarins take you on an adventure down The River.
