Connor Yasuda is a percussion instructor based out of Orange County, CA. He’s worked as a snare tech, clinician, battery and ensemble director for various high schools and independent groups in the area, accruing accolades in both the DCI and WGI space.


Connor’s performance experience includes Mandarins, Blue Stars, and Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. He also performed with POW and Pulse Percussion during the indoor percussion seasons. He credits the influx of knowledge during his formative years to incredible instructors including Jeremy Riley, Ryan Anderson, John Mapes, Glen Crosby, Emmanuel Deleon, Eric Shriver, and Roger Carter.


Throughout his marching career, he also taught several high school programs in the Southern California area. Following his age out, Connor began his instructional career at Blue Stars in 2015 and continued at the Bluecoats from 2019 through 2024. He also served as a snare technician at POW Percussion in 2016 and has been at Pulse Percussion since 2017, where he currently operates as the ensemble’s Battery Coordinator.


Connor attended California State University of Long Beach and received his Bachelor’s degree in Film & Electronic Arts. Outside of the pageantry arts, Connor works as a Freelance Videographer, Editor, and Digital Artist.
