Many Sacramento students dream of seeing the Drum Corps International Capital Classic—but tickets and transportation put that experience out of reach. Your sponsorship removes the financial barrier and opens the door to inspiring live performance and year-round music programs.
Each summer, Mandarins Performing Arts hosts the Drum Corps International Capital Classic—California’s third-largest drum corps competition, featuring elite Open and World Class ensembles. Over 4,000 performers and fans fill Sacramento State’s Hornet Field for an evening of Broadway-style productions, powerful live music, and breathtaking choreography. Students who attend don’t just watch a show—they see what’s possible when talent, teamwork, and hard work come together on the field.

Producing a large-scale event in a college stadium is expensive, and single tickets range from $35 to $150. Even with group discounts, many high school band students—especially from economically disadvantaged and Title I schools—simply cannot afford to attend.
According to Sacramento City Unified School District enrollment data, tens of thousands of students come from communities historically underrepresented in the arts. The Capital Classic is a rare opportunity for them to see performers who look like them, achieving at the highest levels on a major stage.
