Dr. Marvin Reed is an accomplished educator and leader residing in the Bay Area, dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation. He holds a B.A. in Sociology, an M.A. in Higher Education and Leadership Policies, a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, an Administrative Services Credential, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Sacramento, where he proudly served as the Hornet Marching Band Drum Major. As a Professor in the College of Education and elementary school principal, Dr. Reed is passionate about shaping future educators and fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments. He is committed to advancing educational equity and empowering aspiring teachers with the tools they need to succeed in diverse and dynamic classrooms. With extensive experience in music education and leadership, Dr. Reed has judged and consulted for prestigious marching band programs across California.
Dr. Reed has also served as the Drum Major Coordinator and Corps Director for Blue Devils B and held a position on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps. Additionally, he has continued to shape the mission, vision, and values of the Mandarins Leadership Camp. His commitment to leadership and education continues to shape and inspire his work both in and out of the classroom
