Job title: Audio Intern
Reports to: Audio Caption Manager
Job Type: Seasonal (Late May-Early July)
Job Location: Spring Training Rehearsal
Job Description: The Mandarins Audio Intern positions is an educational opportunity that allows growing audio professionals to gain experience working with a world class drum corps. The audio intern will work closely with the audio team to manage and deploy the audio system during rehearsals. Interested applicants must be 21 years or older to apply.
Compensation: This audio intern position is an unpaid internship. Travel funding to and from the corps training site will be provided.
Dates of Service: The audio intern will be expected to spend 2-3 weeks with the drum corps during the pre-tour rehearsals taking place between May 24th and July 1st. Actual dates will be determined by the availability of the intern and the corps travel schedule.
Requirements
Strong organizational skills, especially regarding equipment management
Verbal and written communication skills, especially involving communication with other team member and corps staff
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced rehearsal environment
Basic computer literacy regarding file management, word processors, and spreadsheet software
