Cameron Cornejo is a dancer and choreographer based out of San Jose, California.
He spent his performing career with the Santa Clara Vanguard A corps, as well as the Winterguard and eventually winning a WGI gold medal with the Santa Clara Vanguard Winterguard in 2015. In his time, the love for the activity grew and he continued by teaching colorguard in the Northern California’s south bay, San Diego and had a great opportunity to be a guest colorguard technician/choreographer Ronald Regan High School from San Antonio, Texas.
In 2019, he took a break from the marching arts to focus on his education. After receiving his B.F.A. In Dance from San Jose State University he had the opportunity to perform with local South Bay Dance companies such as Arctangent Dance Company and Reach B.C. His current dance practice is in release technique and helping performers find their full potential through that.
In 2022, he came back to the activity and joined the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets as dance/colorguard technician. He has been active in the activity ever since.
He is very excited to be part of the Mandarins history and bring his knowledge of dance and love for colorguard with him on this new journey.
