Charles Henderson III, born on October 1, 2001, in Phoenix, Arizona, discovered his passion for music after moving to Sacramento, California. He began playing the tuba in middle school, earning Superior ratings at the California Music Education Association festival and performing at the Causeway Youth Music Festival. Charles marched with the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps from 2017 to 2023, helping the corps reach World Class finals for the first time, and achieving 6th place. He served as Contra section leader for two seasons and was the featured solo vocalist in the 2022 production, THE OTHERSIDE.


Currently, Charles is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology Management at Western Governors University, after previously studying Music Education and Tuba Performance at California State University, Sacramento. He has spun at the World Class level in Winter Guard International (WGI) and competed with Antelope High School and Sacramento State University, which participated in lower divisions, earning 2nd place at WGI. Charles has also served as Band Director at Sunrise Elementary, and the programs he has designed have achieved significant success, including 1st place in the Open Class Division, he continues to teach and design for various high school programs.
