Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Daphne Cannon began her marching arts journey at Centerville High School, where she spent four fall seasons playing baritone saxophone and three winter seasons with the Visual Ensemble. She went on to spend four seasons with Rhythm X’s Visual Ensemble, performing with the group from 2023 to 2026.
Daphne now shares that passion through teaching and producing visual at Beavercreek High School, where she helps performers build their skills, confidence, and ability to work together as a team. She will continue teaching and choreographing visual during the indoor drumline season.
Outside of the marching arts, Daphne works as a field biologist specializing in the treatment and management of lakes and ponds. While environmental science and the marching arts may seem like two very different worlds, both give her opportunities to keep learning, problem-solving, and growing. She enjoys being able to pursue both passions while continuing to make an impact through her work and teaching.
