Dr. L. Steven Winlock serves as the Executive Director of the Sacramento County Office of Education, School of Education. The SCOE School of Education provides educational credentialing for the Sacramento region teachers and administrators. Dr. Winlock has served as an educator for over 35 years, as a teacher, school principal and associate superintendent in many of the school districts in Sacramento County.
Dr. Winlock has been an advocate for the arts and arts education in many roles, as a live theater performer, as a board member of many art entities in the Sacramento region such as Broadway Sacramento, producers of Music Circus and the Broadway Series, Runaway Stage, a community based performing arts theater and “on the air talent“ for KVIE (Channel 6). Presently serving as a Sacramento Metropolitan Art Commissioner and as the Sacramento County Office of Education Arts Liaison supporting arts education in schools.
Dr. Winlock born and raised in Sacramento, presently for over 25 years, resides in the Land Park Community.
