Joe Fong has been in the private sector for most of his professional life. Forming “Fong Enterprise” in 1986, Joe started out managing various properties owned by his family. In 1999, Joe added Private IT consulting as a way to expand his business profile, and then started his own professional audio company in 2015. Joe retired from his IT Business in 2022.
Not having a college degree, Joe was determined that being self employed was the only way to go. He has been successful in his entrepreneurial endeavors and feels blessed to have the life he has. Joe has been married to his wife Denise for 34 years and has two adult children, Makenzie and William.
While with the Mandarins, Joe started out managing the Mandarins Entertainment Drum Line, and then transitioned to overseeing the purchase, construction, and management of the Mandarins Event Center Joe volunteers 100% of his time that he works doing all of his Mandarins duties. He is currently managing the operation and maintenance of the of the Mandarins Event Center. This includes running the food services where he cooks for various events, and the booking and overseeing of all the center’s events. Joe also does a lot of other work within the organization as a whole.
Joe first Joined the Board of Directors in 2016, and then became first and current Board Chair for the Mandarins Organization in 2019.
