The show taps into the city's rich cultural heritage, evoking the spirit of Mardi Gras, voodoo mythology, and the hauntingly beautiful atmosphere of the French Quarter. The title Vieux Carré refers to the original name for the French Quarter, adding a sense of history and mystique to the performance.
The musical selections reflect the New Orleans vibe, with pieces like "The Jungle" and "All Rise" by Wynton Marsalis, "Agape" by Nicholas Britell, and "Lie to Me" by Trombone Shorty. These tracks help capture the diverse musical influences of the city, ranging from jazz to gospel and funk.
