Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps

Our Program

The Mandarins are excited to present another fantastic program for our 2019 season.

In the 2019 competitive season, we expect to travel to over 35 states on our national tour. We will tour extensively in Northern and Southern California and will also compete at Drum Corps International events in San Antonio, TX, Atlanta, GA, Allentown, PA and at the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis, IN.

When you join the Sacramento Mandarins, you will become a family member to the organization. You will eat, sleep, rehearse, perform and travel with over 154 new friends and create memories that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. You will have a quality experience both on and off the field and you will enjoy some of the best food in the entire drum corps community.

Age Qualifications

You are eligible to audition for the 2019 season if you are between the ages of 16 and 21 (or if you turn 22 on or after June 1st, 2019).

Mandarins is where I had some of the greatest times of my life. If I had the opportunity to march one more season, I would never turn it down.

Andrew Amistoso

I'd never be who I am today if it wasn't for the Mandarins; it's helped me grow so much and I don't know where I'd be without it.

Amy Inouye

I've learned patience, confidence, respect, determination, and pride, and will take with me all the values I've learned from Mandarins.

Jillene Sturgess

At a recent conference, I was asked to define the single most life-shaping experience in my past. Without hesitation, I responded, "Mandarins." I told of 10-hour rehearsal days, tour, discipline, self-discovery, individuality and teamwork, talent, strength, accomplishment, confidence, and ambition. The will to strive toward excellence. It shaped my very being and has fueled my success.

Courtney White

I was extremely blessed to be around such beautiful and compassionate people who worked to be better at their craft every single day. My time with the Mandarins was magical.

Kelley Ho

Mandarins isn't just best friends, but actually a family where I can see myself growing up and becoming a more responsible person.

Karla Marquez

I hope to build a solid foundation of who I am through the values taught in this corps, so I become a better human being.

David Nakazono

Mandarins has taught me how to find the internal motivation to truly believe that you can achieve anything you want.

Dan Stockbridge

Mandarins is a genuine family, and something special that makes marching here a unique experience. The lessons I have learned I've been able to carry over to my life outside of Mandarins.

Mercedes Trejo

Of all the values learned, the one that resonated with me most is the value of family. Family. Sticking up for one another, through thick and thin.

Dennis Wong

I can't imagine where and how I would be without the experiences I learned, shared, and worked so hard for.

Pamela Daphne Ringer-Britz

The rich history and foundations that Mandarins shares with young people is invaluable.
